Welcome to the Future of Business Excellence - Introducing the "New Business of the Year" Award by Enterprise for Success

Rock Solid Consulting, Blue Orchid and the Kings Trust are delighted to unveil an exciting opportunity for the most promising new businesses in the metropolitan boroughs of Solihull and Birmingham - the "New Business of the Year" award & Young Entrepreneur of the year. This initiative aims to celebrate and acknowledge the innovation and resilience of businesses that commenced operations in the tax year 2024/25.

Applications will be accepted from 19 September 2025 – 30th January 2026.

Enterprise for Success are thrilled to launch this initiative, dedicated to fostering the growth of new businesses and recognising their invaluable contributions to the local economy. By supporting and celebrating emerging enterprises, we believe we contribute to the overall success and prosperity of the Solihull and Worcestershire business communities. Join us in shaping the future of business excellence!

To be considered for this prestigious award, businesses must meet the following criteria:
1. Have started trading in 2024/5, or 2025/26.
2. Be located in the metropolitan boroughs of Solihull or within Birmingham.
3. Applicants must have received support from Enterprise for Success Programme through either Rock Solid, The Kings Trust or Blue Orchid.
4. To apply for "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" you must be between 10- 30 years old.
The winner of the "New Business of the Year" & “ Young Entrepreneur of the Year” awards will receive:
- Award presentation and promotional video featured on the E4S and partners social media channels
- One year of free business support and mentoring
-A exciting package of support from trusted partners
- Free entry for businesses joining the Enterprise for Success program.
- Access application forms on Rock Solid's website or through dedicated business advisors.
-All shortlisted applicants will receive a bio that will be published on programme socials
- Application requirements include key details about the business, achievements, barriers overcome, and why it deserves the award.
- Submissions should also include the business's website address and/or social media handles, along with testimonials.
Applications will be open from 19 September 2025 – 15 January 2025.
Businesses will be initially reviewed by the Rock Solid and Kings Trust teams, with winners being selected from a short list by a panel of three expert judges.
The judging criteria will consider factors such as innovation, growth potential, sustainability, and the impact of the business on the community.
