Do you have an idea for a business but don’t know where to start? Would you like access to free expert advice on business and financial planning to help kick start your idea?
Then if so, the Enterprising Worcestershire Programme is for you. This free programme will guide you through what is required to start a business, including registration, best legal structure, and basic marketing, and will then cover what you need to know in the first twelve months of running a business, including tax, grants and general business planning.
By the end of the programme, you will have a clear plan on how to progress your idea into reality. This programme is designed for individuals yet to establish their business. It is a grant funded programme which is administered by the County Council who also offers grants of up to £5,000 at a rate of 40% match funding to eligible SMEs. This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Worcestershire County Council is part-funding, delivering, and managing this project on behalf of the Worcestershire District Councils (Bromsgrove District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Redditch Borough Council, Worcester City Council, Wychavon District Council, and Wyre Forest District Council).
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
