What we do
She Hits Different was founded by Laura Polson after boxing helped her rebuild confidence and reconnect with her strength during a challenging time in her life. What began as personal transformation soon inspired a mission: to help other women experience that same empowerment. On 1st November 2025, she opened her dedicated boxing and fitness space inside Sarah Jayne’s all-women’s gym — a supportive environment focused on strength, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Support Given
Laura first connected with the Enterprise for Success programme through the Business Start-up Masterclass delivered by Rock Solid. The workshop gave her practical insights into marketing, planning, and the administrative foundations needed to grow a business.
Following this, Laura received continued one-to-one support from advisor Mike Byrne, who has been helping her understand legal structures, tax considerations, and the best long-term setup for a growing coaching and fitness business. The ongoing guidance has given Laura clarity, confidence, and a stronger framework for decision-making as She Hits Different prepares for growth and future expansion.
